About Embrace Transition

Embrace Transition supports people dealing with personal change and transformation. Through writings, practical tools and the sharing of stories we offer comfort and inspiration to anyone at crossroads in their life, regardless of country, culture, religion, and philosophical or spiritual outlook.

What is transition?

Throughout life we are always moving from one phase or state to another. The difference is called change, the road in between transition. Transitions are connection points, periods during which we are changing and preparing for something new. It is the space between what is or was, and what is going to be.

Transitions are often deeply challenging. We might not recognize the signs that something has started to shift, be resistant or lack the support and understanding of our environment.  These signs can be subtle, playing out sub-consciously beneath the surface of conscious daily life, and denying us a sense of control. They also tend to come unannounced and without clearly defined objectives and goals. There may be little logic to what is happening.

Not knowing what is in store can be frightening and so keep us in limbo, grasping at a reality already slipping away.

Still, it's important to remember that these transitional periods play an important role in our ever-evolving lives. They support us in our growth and development, and offer the space to review who and where we are, and to make new choices.

If we miss or ignore these moments of reflection and reorientation, personal change becomes more difficult and we risk staying stuck in a life that no longer serves us.  We would also fall behind because the world around us would be changing.  After all, change is the default nature of life. At some point we will have to go along with whatever it is that is moving.

"If we embrace transition, we allow life to happen"

Peter Gramberg

Visual Concept and Photography

Peter Gramberg was born and raised in Amsterdam, lived all over the world, and now is based in Amsterdam again. He has a professional background in photography and digital concept development, and loves nature. He believes big time in keeping his professional and private life in balance, and that one can pursue multiple paths simultaneously. That's why he owns and manages both a successful multimedia company that pioneers in developing clever services directed at bringing people together by use of smartphones, and a company specialized in designing gardens for inner city use, while pursuing his photography work as well.
